Biography: Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam Al-Kawthari (Darul Iftaa Leicester, UK)
(scholar who taught day one of the weekend course)
Shaykh Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari is a traditionally-trained Islamic scholar who has studied the Arabic language and various other traditional Islamic sciences including Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir), Hadith and Fiqh in different parts of the world including the UK, Pakistan and Syria. His Shuyukh/teachers include his father, Shaykh Mawlana Adam, Shaykh Yusuf Motala, Shaykh Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, Shaykh Abd al-Razzaq al-Halabi and others. He has received authorizations (ijazahs) in various Islamic disciplines including the six major collections of Hadith and the science of issuing religious verdicts (Fatwa). His authored works include: Islamic Guide to Sexual Relations, Birth Control & Abortion in Islam, The Issue of Shares andSimplified Rules of Zakat, and is widely known for providing answers to people’s everyday issues and comprehensive fiqh related articles; which can be found at his website www.daruliftaa.com.
The Shaykh has taught many courses and lectured extensively on a range of topics, and continues to travel regularly teaching and lecturing both in the UK and abroad. Presently, he resides in Leicester, UK, where he is a teacher of various traditional Islamic sciences, and Director and researcher at the Institute of Islamic Jurisprudence (Darul Iftaa, www.daruliftaa.com).

First Friday of every month, Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari is doing a session on Imam Bukhari’s al-Adab al-Mufrad… they are great sessions. There have only been three so far. You can listen online.

Wow, mufti really going places, excellent person, the day spent with him was so great.

Look forward to speneding a day again with him in part 2.

may allah be pleased with him, just like Allah is pleased with the sahabas, if he were in the time fo nabihe wouls definately get glad tidings of jannatt

I agree. Mufti al-Kawthari is a gem of a scholar. I was blessed to meet him at the recent RIS conference in Toronto.

Those who meet him and hear him speak always fall in love with him, Masha Allah. a very nice and gentle person.

if only he knew this blog has been started, please keep posts coming i want to learn and read lots lots more

in south africa we have scholars but not youthful scholars like him

If one would like to get Mufti saheb to deliver a lecture at their local Uni, they should complete the lecture booking form which can be found on the "contact us" section of the Darul Iftaa website.

Part 2 is scheduled later this year. Details will be posted soon insha'Allah.
